I was briefly a book buyer for a small used book shop many years ago.  More than once we’d go to some estate sale or auction and find some books that were out of print because of government intervention.  Not child porn or anything, but not real likely to get reprinted anytime soon.  The store’s policy was to decline to purchase the books without comment.  On at least a few occasions, I made my own private arrangements. And while most of them could be reprinted now that obscenity laws have been relaxed to some extent, I still regret not grabbing a steamer trunk packed full of vintage 50’s porn novels (with titles like “Clitty Clitty Bang Bang”) when I had the chance. whoreofbabalon: i have so many books that are too “banned” to even make the banned book list. i could be arrested in several countries for owning them, in fact. so banned, that i shall never mention them by name on the internet. this new world that’s being created for us is sad & disgusting.
